'Rum Diary' Trailer: The Actor-brad Pitt Storms Puerto Rico
Greater than a decade after The Actor-brad Pitt required a visit into softball bat country within the adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's "Fear and Loathing in Vegas," he's coming back towards the writer's substance-implanted tales within the first trailer for "The Rum Diary." The rum certainly is not gone within this film. Depp stars as journalist Paul Kemp who moves to San Juan, Puerto Rico to dedicate yourself the main newspaper The Daily News within the late nineteen fifties. He will get taken right into a twisted mess of affection, jealousy, treachery and alcoholism that's similar to Thompson's other work. And apparently somewhere across the line he drank 161 nips of rum. Watch a clip beyond the jump! "The Rum Diary" straddles the road between reality and drug-caused fantasy much like "Fear and Loathing in Vegas," but this trailer for that movie causes it to be appear more grounded than its counterpart. It will help that costars Amber Heard, Aaron Eckhart and Richard Jenkins appear to become playing their figures pretty near to the cuff, though Giovanni Ribisi appears to become more consistent with Benecio Del Toro's "Fear and Loathing" character. Though released in 1998, Thompson authored the novel at 22 in early sixties and was inspired by their own encounters working in a newspaper in Puerto Rico. British filmmaker Bruce Robinson authored the script and directed the film after taking greater than a decade removed from Hollywood. "The Rum Diary" hits theaters October 28, 2011. Machine Gun Preacher Trailer Shoots In
Hope is the greatest weapon of allJust a couple of days ago, the poster for true-life criminal-turned-aid-warrior drama Machine Gun Preacher showed up, with Gerard Butler toting a big weapon and protecting a small child. Now the trailer has arrived online via Apple. Preacher, directed by Quantum of Solace's Marc Forster, tells the story of Sam Childers (Butler), a man who spent a chunk of his life on the wrong side of the law, dealing drugs, roughing people up and generally being a git. But then, realising he has to change for the sake of his family (including wife Michelle Monaghan), he finds religion and a new mission in life when he learns of the terrible conditions for the people of East Africa. Sam decides to head over there and ends up building an orphanage for the children affected by the brutal Lord's Resistance Army, which has a nasty policy of recruiting young fighters. Naturally, the Army is no fan of Sam's new humane drive and burns the place down. But where some missionaries might take that as the sign to flee, Sam sees it as a challenge and responds with force. The result? He's rescued more than a thousand orphans from starvation since he first arrived...Take a look at the trailer and let us know your thoughts. Machine Gun Preacher is out on November 4.

Fichtner and Harris Board Phantom
Submarine-set horror for Will and EdFresh from stealing Drive Angry from under Nicolas Cage's flaring nostrils, William Fichtner is next shoring up the already impressive cast of Phantom, which so far boasts Ed Harris, Andy Garcia and Natascha McElhone. The project was first mooted back in May, but is now officially moving forward, with financing from the RCR Media group (who also picked up the currently-directorless Highlander at Cannes). Set on a soviet sub during the Cold War, Phantom involves a Russian captain juggling multiple problems: on the one hand he's got a rogue KGB unit to contend with, and on the other he's got supernatural forces trying to take control of his nuclear wessel. That does not sound like a good day. Hollywood's last attempt at a haunted submarine story was David Twohy's Below ten years ago, co-written by Darren Aronofsky, but more-or-less disowned by Dimension. It sank at the box office. RCR will be hoping for rather more from Phantom, which has Todd Robinson (Lonely Hearts) writing and directing. Seems like the sea is in his blood: he also wrote Ridley Scott's White Squall. Shooting starts in ( Scream for me! ) Long Beach, California in October.

In the week to Sunday, Nintendo moved 214,821 units in Japan, compared with 32,381 in the week through July 24, according to figures compiled by gaming mag publisher Enterbrain. The huge hike was also driven by the release of a hotly anticipated Pokemon game title. Sony has sold nearly 50 million PS3s worldwide since its 2006 launch to March. As of June, 2,495 PS3 package software titles were on the shelves as well as 3,100 titles available for download at the Sony Store. Paris Hiltons Alleged Stalker To Stand Trial
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- A man who once asked Paris Hilton to marry him and has been arrested twice outside homes owned by the socialite must stand trial for felony stalking, a judge ruled Monday. James Rainford appeared to be obsessed with Hilton and his alleged actions gave the hotel heiress good reason to be afraid, Superior Court Judge Jessica Silvers said. Its very clear from all these incidents that you are obsessed with Paris Hilton, Silvers told Rainford after a 90-minute hearing. This is more personal, and it is scary. Rainford, 36, was previously convicted of battery against Hiltons former boyfriend Cy Waits, who was hit in the head outside a courthouse earlier this year. Rainford did not react after Silvers ruling and only spoke quietly with his attorney during the hearing. Rainfords most recent arrest came after a July 4 encounter in which paparazzi alerted authorities he was outside the heiress beach house. Defense attorney Craig Renetzky argued during the hearing thatRainford had never directly threatened Hilton, and that she had never left her home during either incident that led to his arrests. His actions, including hitting Hiltons ex-boyfriend and shoving a security guard in October, were not directed at the socialite herself, the lawyer said. The only thing hes apparently ever done to her is to propose to her, Renetzky said. Hilton politely refused. She did not attend Mondays hearing. Prosecutor Wendy Segall called four law enforcement officers to testify about their dealings with Rainford after his arrests or their conversations with Hilton. Sheriffs Detective Rodney Wagner said Hilton was afraid for her safety as well as her family, her friends around her. Rainford remained jailed in lieu of $150,000 bail and was told to return to court on Aug. 29 for an arraignment. No trial date has been set. Copyright 2011 by Associated Press. VIDEO: What Is So Bad In regards to a Media Hoarder?
Hoarders Beverly records everything! This week's episode of Hoarders (Monday, 9/8c, A&E) indicates that there's rarely a minute once the Towanda, Kan., woman's number of DVD writers aren't taking multiple TV programs. Obviously, this stuff stack up (and spill in to the backyard) and there is more general disarray happening in her own situation. But nonetheless, I connect with her. VIDEO: Fire isn't considered a fireplace hazard on Hoarders She's just modern! Sometimes things on television disappear forever and you need to publish them in your blog and you can't. But when you'd a huge collection like Beverly's, you can! Her grand son at some point sneers, "She's it occur her mind that certain day, somebody's likely to appear and become like, 'Hey, you have that episode of Phil Donahue from '82?'" But that's an acceptable request! I'd really like to watch a chapter of Donahue from '82 at this time. Guy hoards themself on Hoarders I am unable to fault an archivist for archiving. Beverly's home is chaos, but she just requires a couple of terabyte hard disk drives and a way to rip these items to digital files. If only I might have been triggered to assist Beverly together with her clean-up. Along the way, I'd have assisted myself to her stash.
